So I somehow completely abandoned my blog for the past.....almost year. Yikes! You'd think I'd had another baby or something! Here is my attempt to re-cap the past 11 months!
Gracie turned 2 months old in November 2013, just in time for a nice quiet Thanksgiving at home. Thanksgiving has always been the holiday that we tend to stay home and celebrate with our little family. We also got word from the owners of the house we were renting that they needed it back so we needed to move. Instead of waiting til January 1st to move, we decided to try and move before Christmas so that we could get settled somewhere and enjoy Christmas without the hassle of moving and not being able to put up a tree. Luckily we found a nice place and got moved in by December 1st. Moving with a 2 month old and a toddler was crazy but we had help so that was nice.
Grace weighed in at 12.5 lbs and was 23.5 inches long at 2 months old! I always like to include Kayla's stats at the same age, just to compare. Kayla was 14.5 lbs and 23 inches long at 2 months! So Kayla weighed 2 whole pounds more and was a half an inch shorter. Grace is longer and thinner for sure! Both are perfect!
Grace rolled from belly to back a few times at 6 wks old. It may have been an accident and she scared herself when she did it, but it still happened! It was so cute too! She also began sleeping through the night at 7weeks consistently. YAY for both of my girls being awesome sleepers. She is exclusively on mommy milk as well and is the happiest baby. We had some early issues with her having an intolerance to dairy milk. When I would drink milk, she would get very gassy and would spit up full feedings. Once I cut dairy, she was fine!
Kayla is in a ballet class and loves it! It's called Fairy Tale ballet and they are learning all the basics. She had a showcase at the end of the semester. Kayla was "Snowflake number 4" and was the cutest one there! She nailed her part!
We went home to my parents again for Christmas. This was a big celebration. My moms entire side of the family was there so we got to see everyone and they got to meet Gracie! We had a great time there and the week flew by.
On New Years Day, Gracie laughed for the first time! There is nothing sweeter than a little newborn laugh! We celebrated New Years in our new house and ready to see what 2014 would bring for us!
